About the service
SyncDrop provides temporary rooms for messages, photos, and files. This deployment is provided by The operator of this SyncDrop deployment. Creating or joining a room means that you understand these rules and the Privacy notice.
Room access and lifetimes
A room can last for 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, or until it has been inactive for 24 hours. Any authorised participant can close the room manually. Room links, QR codes, and access tokens stop working after closure.
You are responsible for sharing the room link and password only with intended participants. Anyone with valid access may see and download current room content.
Acceptable use
You must not use SyncDrop to upload, request, distribute, or coordinate content or conduct that is unlawful, abusive, exploitative, deceptive, malicious, or that infringes another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights.
You must not probe the service, bypass access controls, disrupt availability, automate abusive traffic, distribute malware, or attempt to identify other visitors from technical data. To reduce automated abuse, one anonymous browser and IP address may create no more than five rooms within ten minutes, send no more than 120 messages per minute within one room, and prepare no more than 20 file uploads within ten minutes. Each file is limited to 100 MB and each room to 1 GB of active files.
Executable, script, and macro-enabled file types are blocked. SyncDrop checks file metadata and executable signatures before making a file available; production deployments also scan the complete file with ClamAV. These checks reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every malicious file will be detected, so recipients must still treat downloads with appropriate caution.
Your content
You keep responsibility for the content you provide and confirm that you have the right to share it. SyncDrop processes that content only to operate, secure, and moderate the service as described in the Privacy notice.
One file may be no larger than 100 MiB (104,857,600 bytes). Additional file-type or room-capacity restrictions may be introduced to protect the service.
Moderation and records
The operator may investigate reports, close rooms, remove stored files, restrict abusive access, and preserve relevant records. Closing a room removes public access and stored file objects, but the protected moderation chronology may remain for up to 120 days. A temporary moderation hold may extend that period while a review is active.
Availability and backups
SyncDrop is designed for temporary transfer, not permanent storage or backup. Rooms can expire automatically and content may become unavailable without recovery. Keep your own copy of anything important.
The service may be changed, suspended, or limited for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or capacity reasons.
Liability and applicable terms
The service is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Final operator identity, governing law, mandatory consumer rights, contact details, and any jurisdiction-specific liability wording must be completed before public launch.
Changes and contact
These rules are effective from 20 August 2026. Updated rules will be published on this page.
A public contact address has not been configured yet.
